Many holidaying tourists will want to visit the largest shopping mall in the Alicante Province which is just up the road from Torrevieja in La Zenia, which is also a popular tourist resort along with Cabo Roig and Campoamor. Holiday accommodation in Torrevieja is mainly a self catering rental properties of which the traveller will find plenty to choose from. Another popular tourist area in the South Costa Blanca is the Orihuela Costa with it´s towns of Playa Flamenca, Villamartin and Mil Palmeras.

Elche is the next biggest city to Alicante in the Alicante Province. A large city just inland. It has a beach area called El Altet and is close to the Alicante airport.
A beach resort on the outskirts of Alicante Santa Pola. The town is known for it´s salt evaporation pond. It is very close to Alicante and during the summer months it´s population doubles.

Meaning a 1000 palms, Mil Palmeras can be found between Campoamor and Pilar de la Horadada. It has a sandy beach with a strip of bars and restaurants.
Only 4 kilometers south of Torrevieja Playa Flamenca was built in 1972 it is now a quiet but popular holiday destination, yet close to all the bustling towns.
On the Segura river, originally an agricultural town Rojales has a high population due to it´s more recently built urbanisations.
